How much time is an employee entitled to take off for paternity leave?

 
An employee can take 2 weeks leave and this can either be taken as two entirely separate weeks or as two consecutive weeks. The leave must be taken within 56 days of the birth.

In addition, a father can also take additional paternity leave of up to 26 weeks if his partner has returned to work. To be entitled to this leave,  the employee must have worked for you for not less than 26 weeks.
